Rhythm and Roots

Mission

Rhythm & Roots LLC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness about congenital heart disease among youth. Our mission is to use the power of music, art, and community engagement to educate young people about this life-threatening condition, and to inspire them to take action towards improving the lives of those affected. Through our programs and initiatives, we aim to foster a culture of compassion, empathy, and advocacy, and to empower young people to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.

Vision Statement for 2024 and 2025:

“To create a resilient community where every young person is empowered with knowledge and compassion, driving positive change in congenital heart disease awareness and support. By 2025, Rhythm & Roots aims to significantly expand its outreach, bolster financial sustainability, and become a beacon of hope for families affected by congenital heart disease through innovative programs and unwavering community support.”

Rhythm & Roots is a beautiful organization with the mission to bring awareness to congenital heart disease among youth. I was fascinated by Zyler's story after his mother Ashley shared it with me. Not only does her organization bring awareness to congenital heart disease, but she's branching out to provide safe spaces and activities for cchildren with special needs. Often our children are excluded from certain activities and spaces because of their different abilities or circumstances. R&R allows for them to be themselves without restrictions. Ashley has a true passion for serving our children that is evident in the work that she does. As Rhythm & Roots continues to grow, I anticipate that it will bring education and awareness to Arkansas and beyond.
